You guys are too emotional just look at the presidential election it's a reflection of the governorship. LP and APC shared 1m+ votes in Lagos . Same thing happened In the governorship. Same scenario repeated in Kano . You guys are just too emotional. Both presidential and governorship election was peaceful In my polling unit no voting intimidation you can't use your polling unit experience to Speak for everyone. The UK and the US have enduring strategic interests in Nigeria, which are threatened by Nigeria’s kleptocratic ruling class’s tolerance of & complicity in democratic backsliding grand
corruption and gross human rights violations. The new administration faces a daunting array of challenges, from underdevelopment to insecurity, fiscal pressures and poor governance, which went unaddressed under outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari.

But over the last several years, the UK and US have been reluctant to focus their bilateral engagement on democracy and governance. Instead, they appear to have turned a blind eye, deepened their engagement with the country’s heavy-handed, highly corrupt military, and done little to prevent Nigerian kleptocrats from spending unexplained wealth in London, New York and elsewhere, while minimizing bilateral fallout from the #EndSARS protests, the Twitter ban, or the Nigerian army’s forced abortion programme..."

It is what I call "biting with the Hounds and running with the Hates Mentality" of the so-called West.

They will never let go of that Hegemony Policy of Thiers. No Leaders can succeed here in Africa without having that at the back of his/her mind and this has to be factored in when you role out your plans for your Country.

This is why I find it laughable with all this Chatham House frenzy leading to the Election.

I don't know the kind of independence and democracy we are celebrating. We are far from being democratic in this country. If Nigeria is truly democratic the president will not be celebrating independence in closed doors.

They should open embassies in the SE.
Igbos should build that port in ph.
Igbos should withdraw from the rest of Nigeria, except in Rivers and delta.

what the americans and UK did not know in the past, was that they were supporting systematic genocide and forceful islamization of christians.

The yoruba muslims are a bunch of lazy and insecure basta*ds that wants to form 2nd most influential group in Nigeria. They wish USA and UK the worst in life, but will send their kids there to go get the best education while still maintaining the hate of those countries. They infiltrate these countries with stolen money, then try to convert their citizens to islam and also do rampant 419. They mostly like any country that will challenge these countries. Well, they try to make the igbos buy into that ideology, make the igbos join them in destroying Christian nations from the inside, while terrorists countries like Saudi Arabia and co, stay peaceful. Well, not anymore. The igbos have caught on. The continued success of these Christian countries in europe or wherever, are in our interest. We will work to make sure they remain strong as we also grow strong to counter them here on site.

It is better to work for the CIA, m16, mossad, and other non Muslim intelligence services than anything islamics Nigeria or other anti American actors.

UK and the USA should not miss in supporting the right side of history this time. Support us with the appropriate weapons to survive and stand for our shared interest. Those islamics will try to pit christian nations like russia against the west, but we should stick to the west and avoid confrontation with russia, but be ready to be against then if they keep supporting those terrorist. Igbos play your path. The survival of Christians is at stake. The islamics that wish the west bad, will send fake Christians to the west to tarnish the image of igbos in their eyes, so we need to train the west including poland, to spot these chameleons with evil intents. These basta*ds that claim to be black like you, are trying to massacre you under the nose of powerful Christian and sane nations. We should fight back. We have shared mutual interest with the west.

The so called Nigerians want to remain in year 223, they want Arabic with islam inscriptions in all our things like money. They want our kids to study the demonic book of medina , five times a day, and not study mathematics and sciences. They want to kill all the Christian men, and get to marry all the igbo Christians 4 or more at a time. They are terrorist. We should fight against them. The islamics yoruba also wants a sectional country, but want to use the national influence to be defrauding the western countries and borrowing some money from asia. but they also want to rule over igbos. They will find out the hard way.

May God continue to bless the Western nations
May God continue to bless the great state of Israel
May God continue to fight for Ifbo Christians in the face of continued aggression

Yorubas are known from tribalism. They said Gbadebo made tweets against Yorubas, they did not bring these tweets when he made them but immediately Obi won Lagos, they started look for every tribalistic means to discredit him

UK had 3 leaders in 3 months that their economy has still not recovered from now they are blindly following America into a war with Russia and if not careful China.

You think na naija dey worry them? They need all the friends and support they can get and whoever is the leader of Nigeria they will work with them. All the rest na our internal problems

Hmmm hard bt necessary steps to improving democracy and good governance.

People have to be held accountable.

Nigerias democracy is under brazen attack from known political actors. it cannot be allowed to stand.

dictators not in military suits bt in civilian clothing have hijacked and subverted the electoral laws and procedures, disenfranchised the people and forced themselves in power.

These glaring and shameful political criminality, anti democratic practices and international disgrace must be allowed to stand, accepted or endorsed.

The right must be done In Nigeria. This is non negotiable.

"...they should look to Nigeria’s perennial democracy and governance challenges....." ...... Chatham House.

Nigeria's democracy is a farce, given the centrifugal forces arising from the ethnic interests of the 3 major ethnic groups in Nigeria.
If the UK and the USA are interested in improving the lives of the 220m people in Nigeria, all that is needed is a UK-US brokered REFERENDUM by the UN on who wants to be a Nigerian.
The 12 northern Sharia states had since 1999 adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system that literally drew a boundary for their Islamic sharia country out of Nigeria.
The Eastern region of Nigeria had since wanted to opt out of dysfunctional Nigeria for Biafra.
The Southwest region has a popular Oduduwa Nation movement which desires to pull the region out from Nigeria.
Those in the Niger Delta region have been itching to pull out of Nigeria.
Due to the inadequacies of Nigeria, more than 5 million people have been killed since the 1914 amalgamation of the north and south of British Protectorates in West Africa as one country, Nigeria.

But the military has no business in fixing any country's electoral system.
The present electoral system would work in any REALcountry with people who share common value systems.
If you join GB, Turkey, Syria and Romania as one country, the extant electoral system of GB will not work in such a country. No electoral system can work in Nigeria. Nigeria's military had previously prepared electoral systems.

The electoral system we have was handed down by the military. A dispassionate military can take charge and hand over an electoral system that is electronic and paperless. We have gone 98% EVERYDAY cashless and electronic based.

This is just Balderdash... US n UK wouldn't kill themselves over Nigerian internal Imbroglio...

They wouldn't Stop Flow of Businesses and Cripple their own Economies because of your own Internal Uncivilized Democracy .....

Change is a Gradual Processes US n UK knows this .... Businesses is flowing, Oil is Flowing .. Good ... Good Governance is your own Wahala!

There is only Established truth in the World .. US n UK are Businesses Empire not Good Governance Empire ...

They would only Aligned to whatever dictated by your region and they would destabilize all of you if what you are doing doesn't profit them than to Stabilise You against Themselves ...

The earlier you Realise US n UK only Cares about Flow of Businesses the Better for You All !

Referendum to divide will not stop attacks on democracy by desperate politicians and criminal actors. They are in every region especially the 3 main tribes.

The focus should be on addressing the original challenges and correcting the obvious flaws in the system by holding people accountable for the attack on our democracy and electoral process which should ensure peaceful transition of leadership.

we know who the perpetrators and criminal actors are. We have to sanction them

Don't be dumb bro.. How exactly are they supposed to go after a sovereign Nation?

Moreover, they have Facts & they know that the so called 'massacre' was largely a Ruse because just like some of us have always demanded, no concrete evidence of such existed.. You don't expect a serious Country to take a position just because of a mere Allegations.

Who is Chatham House? Who is UK and US governments? They're one and the same thing. They are all complicit in the mindless corruption by Nigeria's political & economic elites. Are they uninvolved in the so-called stealing of crude oil from the Niger-Delta?

Some spate of stealing took places around the estate I live recently, and the question was, can outsiders breach 3 gates leading to the estate and take out stolen properties by day or night WITHOUT AN INSIDER?

The political & economic elites in Africa/Nigeria are the INSIDERS to the UK,US et al in their neocolonial debasement of the continent/country.

I always wonder how the billions of Nigeria's stolen money find their way to these foreign countries. Is it not through our banking system or are the monies sent as luggages through DHL/UPS grin

If NOBODY learns from UKRAINE & RUSSIA at least, AFRICANS/NIGERIANS must!

We must decide to save ourselves as NO FOREIGN NATION will do it for us. They'II always be on the side of their collaborators...

Can you imagine the foreign exchange our politicians put into the UK's economy by their political meetings there before the elections? What about their children/wards fees to UK? So, it's business for the UK, US et al to keep quiet so far it does not affect them.
