Traders at the Onitsha Main Market have expressed their sorrow over the fire incident that destroyed their shops to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.

The early-morning fire on Tuesday that destroyed a two-story building in the Onitsha main market and destroyed some shops, resulting in the loss of goods, was lamented by the Governor.

The Governor emphasized the need for everyone to exercise greater caution in order to prevent the occurrence of fires in markets, workplaces, and even our homes.

He praised the firefighters' and other security agencies' efforts in battling to put out the fire.

Additionally, Governor Soludo reaffirmed that the Government would look into the incident to try to stop it from happening again.
