Hello,
Any advice on how to get your radio serial number on a 1997 Acura CL 3.0 without taking the radio out. Bought the car used a couple years ago. No owners manual, no stickers in glove box etc,
Holding down the 1 & 6 and power on combination does nothing on this radio. It still has the "Code" display on the radio.
Any help would be great.

jactwo82 - The only way to get the serial # is to remove (or at least partially pull it forward, my serial # was on the bottom of the radio). I found a pretty good write-up hare: http://www.ehow.com/how_7334380_remove-radio-_97-acura-cl.html
It does not contain pic, however it really is not that difficult. On the '97 you just pop the front woodgrain faceplate and access everthing from there. You then must call Acura and give them the serial number and vin and they can tell you the code. Here is their info http://www.acura.com/ClientRelations.aspx
