The Russians seems to be further STRENGTHENING their Borders by using surrounding countries as Buffers.
Look at all the regions of Ukraine Russia acquired, they're all close to Russian borders. They would fortify them so if distance from Ukraine to Russian Border used to be 2KM, it now would be 100Km. Now they seem to be doing same thing with Belarus, though in the case of Belarus, they would benefit in the process also.
What that means is should you want to attack Russia, you gotta start from Ukraine or belarus, rather than from Russian Borders.
This people get sense sha or na me just dey think so.

STFU. The British were the first to announce they'd be giving Ukraine depleted uranium weapons, that's nuclear whether depleted or enriched, hence changing the tide of war. Russia is only responding to that according to international law. Tell me what Russia has done wrong here and What is your bickering about?

You're correct. After Donbas (former Ukraine), Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Finland also share borders with Russia. However, these are hundreds of kilometres from major Russian cities (I'm not considering fringe border towns). Hence, Ukraine seemed like a deal breaker and the weakest axis where Russia could have been invaded from.

With Donbass now under Russian Federation, it becomes quite difficult for an invading force to launch devastating attack on or conquer Russia and also makes it quite easy for Russia to mount a solid and devastating defence of the motherland.

I so pity the day Americans and her minions in Europe will have the balls to think they can invade and conquer Russia the Iraq style. So many American soldiers will not even be returning in bodybags. They'd be used as fertilizers for Russian crops grin.

US can't invade through Alaska cos they'd be destroyed before they even cross the waters.
The can't invade anywhere through western Russia cos that's where most Russian military bases are situated. Ukraine is the weak link that Murica wishes to explore and that weak link is currently getting fixed.
