We are not promising anything miraculous or spectacular. But what we do promise every law-abiding citizen is freedom from fear and all forms of oppression, freedom from general inefficiency and freedom to live and strive in every field of human endeavor, both nationally and internationally. We promise that you will no more be ashamed to say that you are Nigerians.

isn't it unbelievable that in 2011, these words are so relevant, and the prevailing circumstances at the time for which these words were uttered still remain unsolved and indeed have increased in magnitude.

We are in 2011 and not 1966. our problem now is Boko Haram, hunger, joblessness and bad govt. Let Nzoegwu rest in peace and talk about the living and how to help their fate abeg.

Words on marble. A good Nigerian, drawn into the South West political quagmire, who risked it all to save Nigeria. Now he is vilified, an insane world we live.
