Governor Wike has voiced his backing for the suspension of Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Ayu was suspended by his Ward leadership of the PDP in Benue State.

Governor Wike expressed his belief that Ayu should have stepped down voluntarily. He cited his leadership as a contributing factor to the PDP’s poor performance in the recent general elections.
