According to Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), the party will reimburse Humphrey Anumudu’s family for the N25 million nomination fee that he spent in order to run for governor of Imo State.

Prior to the Imo State governorship election on November 11th, Anumudu had bought the party’s form to run in the LP primary, but he passed away last week.

Abure who spoke on Tuesday, March 28, said the party decided to return the nomination fee to the family of the deceased to show empathy and compassion.
