PTA involvement can create conflicts between parents and teachers.

The decision-making process can be slowed down by PTA involvement.

PTA involvement can interfere with the autonomy of school administration.

PTA involvement can cause unnecessary bureaucracy and red tape.

PTA involvement can cause division among parents and teachers.

PTA meetings may not be productive or result in effective solutions.

The PTA may not represent the views and needs of all parents and teachers.

Alternatives to a PTA may better serve the needs of the school and community
