This article written by Arthur Nzeribe and published in TheNews on 28th September, 1998 is still very valid. We should all read the article to understand why some people are so opposed to Tinubu’s presidency that they don’t mind a military intervention.

They took this headlined position in 1960 and 1979 against Awolowo. Took the same position against MKO in 1993 and reiterated it in this article in 1998 when the country was preparing for the 1999 tradition.

They are now disrupting flights and harassing the military to take over simply because Bola Ahmed Tinubu won a largely peaceful, free, fair and credible election.

He's enemy of progress that pig called Arthur... No to Yoruba President.. after he spitted this gilberish Obj, came for 8yrs,
Osinbajo vp for 8yrs,
Asiwaju for another 8yrs...

Now show me if they have ruled this country more than 3 and half years.

Even with legitimacy plus coup is only 3yrs and half...

Keep pulling people down n let's see how u will grow.

The purpose of this thread is not to fan the embers of disunity but to historically look at how some people behave in a particular way and how history always repeat itself if care is not taken.

After MKO victory in June 1993, this same Arthur Nzeribe went to get a backdoor court judgment stoping the electoral commission from announcing the full result and declaring a winner. It took us years to get over that crisis.

Now, we’ve made a lot of progress in our Democratic journey but some elements want to drag us back because they hate the person that won the election. They want to repeat the same thing they did in 1993 and we must not allow them.
Was the full result not announced and a winner declared? Was it not still an Igbo man, Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, who declared Abiola winner despite all pressures? Why are you hiding that part of history?

No be today. E don tey wey dis people hate us.

Their hatred towards Yoruba has always been there.
The hatred is mutual on both sides. They can't stand Yorubas, Yorubas can't stand them. We are all just trying to be civil undecided

The full result was never announced in 1993. Humphrey Nwosu never officially declared MKO the winner. The result declaration was stoped halfway by Arthur Nzeribe’s court order. IBB thereafter annulled the election.

It is not by words but by action. Nzeribe was only bold enough to put his action into words. Most people from SE share similar views with Nzeribe and that’s why they are all out to discredit Tinubu’s mandate.

Repeating that Tinubu won a million times won't make it true. Tinubu will be removed by the courts

I'm not Yoruba, but:

ASIWAJU IS COMING !

He is coming because his ambition resonates with the larger Abiola story.

He is coming because God in heaven rewards hard work and strategic planning.

He is coming because it is Nigeria's O'clock.

He is coming because populism is a recipe for perennial poverty- facts.

He is coming because his manifesto was the most meaningful and practicable.

He is coming because his track records are more sterling.

He is coming because of his ability to assemble near-perfect teams that inspire development.

He is coming because he had the majority of votes cast and scored 25% in not less than 25 states of Nigeria.

He is coming to set the republic free.

You cannot rig an election and you think you can peacefully occupy the seat. No peace for the wicked
