iPhone 11 Pro with network issue fixed

First picture: network shows no service which indicates there was a fault with the network but after working on it we now have ‘no sim’ which is there isn’t a sim in the phone but it’s ready to connect to a service provider once a SIM card is inserted

My iphone 13 pro max suddenly doesn't come on again this morning.
I used it last night and it was at 93% when i left it and go to bed.
This morning now it refuse to on, I have tried charging it for hours and even did the hard reset (vol up then vol down then hold the power button) yet it doesn't come on.
Please what do you suggest I do and what could be the problem?

Since you’ve tried the hard reset and it didn’t work, I’d say it’s a problem from the motherboard which would have to be worked on by an iPhone repairer

As to what could be the problem, could be anything, maybe a short circuit or a dead IC on the phone’s board

Try the mute button on the side and see if it vibrates, if it does, that means the phone is on and the screen is dead but if it doesn’t then take it to a repairer

I can work on it too

You brought a dead phone which was fixed, you tested everything to be in a perfectly working condition before making any payment and went with it, called us back after about 3 days that it died again, which we asked you to bring found another entire fault again and fixed again without collecting any payment and you confirmed it to be working again, went with it and called again that it had died again for which I advised you probably should get a new phone because if a phone continue dying, there’s any chance it would continue happening and cause too many back and forth between both of us

As it was, I had already spent more than you paid to fix your phone and I offered a bargain which you didn’t meet up your end of the bargain

I told you to bring it to me, I’ll confirm it’s not working, you take it to someone else, fix it with them and I’ll refund the 6000 you paid me to fix your phone

Did you meet your end of the bargain?

In gadget repair, there’s that slight probability of a device being returned back after fix which every engineer dread including me, no engineer wants his business smeared and I offered what I thought was a considerable offer and you didn’t keep to it

I really don’t know what else I could have offered because I didn’t even confirm the phone died again for which I wouldn’t just refund, what if it didn’t die and you just wanted to play foul and collect your money back?

We’ve had people that tried to play us too you know

Of course my phone went off and didn’t come on again just like the guy above me complained about his iPhone 13 ProMax.
After trying the hard reset (volume up and down and then hold the power button)
I thought it was something that had to do with the battery so I brought it to your place and you told me that, it might not really be the battery but probably
1. Battery.
2. Bad charging port.
3. Or a motherboard issue. (Panel issue, that needs to be worked on, blaa… blaa..blaa).

That it would cost me
1. 5k for battery replacement.
2. 3k for replacing the charging port.
3. 3k for working on the panel/ motherboard blaa… blaa… blaaa, circuit break)
4. 3k for your workmanship.

Everything totaling 14k, I asked for price reduction and you only removed 1k making it 13k.
So we agreed that you should proceed to work on it

The next day you called me that my phone has come on and I should come and pick it up.
I paid you 13k cash, in less than 15 hours the same thing happened (phone went off and didn’t come on again) the same thing that made me bring the phone to you in the first place.

My phone went off again like it did before I brought it to you and didn’t come on again.
I called you to complain about it, you apologized and asked me to bring it back to your shop, which I did and after you did what you did on it, (probably worked on it again) it came back on.

In your presence, while handing it over to me, I observed that

🚫1. My phone became excessively hot, always very hot (which you can attest to that, you confirmed it, in your presence).

🚫2. Front and back cameras stopped working (which you also confirmed).

🚫3. The earpiece speaker had stopped working.

🚫4. The mouthpiece/ mic too didn’t work (people could not hear me speak when they call me).

🚫5. My phone could not connect to my Wi-Fi device or any other Wi-Fi devices that I previously used.

🚫6. You didn’t replace the charging port, which you charged me for and I paid you for it.

Then the same thing happened again less than 10 hours, after the second repairs phone went off again and wouldn’t come on.

I called you back again and you told me that if a phone died continuously after two consecutive repairs you don’t think repairs should continue, that every work you did on it, it took you over one hour to find the fault.
Because finding a fault isn’t a walk in the park, that I should get a new phone, that my phone is an old phone and has probably outlived it lifespan.

Like I should just command at least 100k from nowhere and get a new phone. Because you don’t know what you’re doing as a phone technician.

This got me upset and I decided to go to Ikeja (computer village) myself, on getting there I met a guy who introduced me to an iPhone specialist called Mojeed.
I narrated my ordeal; I explained what happened to the phone and what I had gone through in the hands of the previous technician trying to get my phone back to work.

Mojeed and his friends bursted into laughter saying “that guy no sabi anything, bros this one no be serious work naa… this na power IC issue.

In less than 30 minutes my phone came back on again, I was happy and I explained the other problems it had incurred after you worked on it.

1. The excessive hotness of the phone..
2. The front and back cameras not working…
3. The earpiece speaker not working…
4. The mouthpiece/ mic not working…
5. The phone not connecting to Wi-Fi devices..

* He said as far as he had fixed the power IC, the phone will stop getting hot (which I observed instantly).
* As for my front and back cameras not working, that you the previous technician had broken the flex connector connecting the cameras and the earpiece speaker while previously working on it.
*That it needs to be replaced.
*He fixed the mouthpiece/ mic issues.
*He also fixed the Wi-Fi connectivity issues which you damaged.

And after I had gone through all these things I called you to lodge a complain, my dissatisfaction with the work you had previously done and what you did was to ask me if my phone came on after you worked on it..?

That I should bring it back to you to confirm if it’s dead again, then I can take it to another technician.
That if it works you’ll refund me 6k.

This was after I had gone to Ikeja (computer village to fix my phone)
You expected me to keep going back and forth because of your incompetence and inability to fix an iPhone 6s Plus..??
That I had tried to trick you, into doing what exactly if I may ask..?? ( remember I called you before taking my phone elsewhere to look for solution, you said there was nothing else you could do)

@ProTafix

You’re a quack.
A ripoff.
You don’t know what you’re doing.
You keep posting pictures of phones that you claim to have fixed on Nairaland trying to lure unsuspecting customers like me, (cos I found you here) and at the end of the day you’ll end up damaging their phones just like you did mine.

You collected my 13k only to leave my phone in a worse state than you met it.

People who know their craft don’t go about posting pictures on the internet looking for customers.
That’s why I won’t let anyone else fall for your gimmicks.

The guy who fixed my phone doesn’t have all the so called high tech equipment that you display on here, just one small kiosk and soldering iron that’s all, and he could detect and fix any faults within minutes.

It took you close to a week and you still couldn’t find what was wrong with my phone.

Instead you said I tried to trick you.
That 13k you took from me will cost you more than you’ll ever imagine.
I payed you cash out of my hands, my hard earned cash.

Let’s watch and see.. for how long will you continue to deceive yourself.

You see, you’re getting a lot of things wrong

I charged you 5000 for battery replacement and 8000 to work on the panel not all the 3000 for this and that

Nobody would charge you 3000 for charging port, 3000 for working on a panel cos that would simply mean such person isn’t going to put food on his table at the end of the day
I told you your phone board was having a short circuit which I told you 8000 to sort and after I was done, there’s possibility your battery was dead too based on its state, I worked on it, cleared the short circuit and it still required a battery change which I informed you, we never discussed changing your charging port

My pictures I post here are very clear for any other engineer to see and understand what I do and any other engineer can call me out here if I post something suspicious

The simplest repair to do on an iPhone is changing of charging ic if you ask any iPhone engineer, in your phone’s case, the initial problem wasn’t a charging ic problem but a short circuit, for which even if I changed 1 million charging ICs, your phone still wouldn’t have worked at all till the short circuit was sorted, after clearing the short circuit, other problems might show themselves which your phone had done

If all the phones I worked on was just a “changing charging ic” problem, I’d be a very happy engineer but it gets more complicated than that, that’s why I need the tools I use

I’m a very straightforward person, if I can’t work on a phone after testing I tell the customer I can’t work on it, it’s not a crime, I worked on the underlying issue that was faulty on your phone that’s why the other engineer could just remove the charging ic and end of his job

You damaged my front and back cameras..

My phone couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi, I also brought this to your notice.

Bro if you want to continue that phone get an icloud locked iphone , do u can salvage parts yourself from it without being overcharged for it, that money you spent would have gotten u one and u could remove the camera, mouth piece, battery etc. it's cheaper that way and you get original parts too. I don't change any part of my iphone unless I see one removed from a damaged device even if I have to pay higher
