A stone-coated tile, (metro tile) can only retain the magnificent look when it's made from steel sheets, and " double coated" with natural stone granules which were mined at a quarry, then crushed and screened to tiny particles, in such a way that when applied to and embedded in the steel, the particles fit together to give the beauty, stamina, and durability of the roofing sheet.

The most important aspect to look after is the Stone, and the color of the roof, if it's falling off from the steel, it will fade, and change color over a short period.

An original stone granule should have the following natures

.....Opacity to solar ultraviolet light
.....Chemical and physical inertness to provide resistance to acid rain and leaching
......Durability to freeze/thaw and wet/dry cycling
......Minimal oxidation and rusting (iron content)
