This is not scam. It's clearly in their policy. Domain registration is an automated process, it is after you register that their risk/fraud management team (or whatever they call it) then determine if the domain falls under the FBTDL or not.

What sort of name are you registering? This is important.

It's just the company name abbreviation with Nigeria

If that's the case, there should have been a restriction on it. Instead of approving/accepting payment for both registration and hosting then suspend it. It doesn't make sense.

bro it's hard. I can't rule them out and I'm not connected to them. But move on. It's the same thing with Lagos. U can't just use Lagos on your domain. U must have proof and certificate. That's to be on the safe side. The decision was taken years ago. It's only onyinbo local town that may not disturb u. I don't mean country. I mean local area.

How did you later resolve the issue? It happened to me too. I was asked to register another domain so that they can recreate the hosting.

I registered and hosted a domain with them but the service was suspended in less than 24 host. Because according to them, the domain fall into FBTDL categories.

Meanwhile, it's just a business management company website.

Just wondering why it was accepted in the first place. And suspending the service after payment is made.

Please has anybody had this FBTDL issue before.
