Lol. I'm really trying to know what the US will do here, because they can only talk, but not alter the result if that's what some people are expecting. After the investigation what next? What if Tinubu is sworn in, and the whole thing dies off, what happens next?

Even if the US government was able to influence the election result, it would not be able to control the aftermath. There would be a risk of civil unrest and the US would be seen as responsible for this. It's not in the interests of the US to interfere in the elections of other countries. It would damage relationships with other countries and could lead to retaliation.

Truth is, In some cases, it may be relatively easy for the US government to change the election results in a foreign country; in others, it may be much more difficult. Factors that would likely influence the US government's ability to alter an election outcome abroad would include the political stability of the country in question, the extent of US involvement in that country's politics, and the extent of international scrutiny of the election. So make your guess! 🤷‍♂️
