The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Lagos State and its Governorship Candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), have filed a petition with the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Lagos State.

They are seeking the disqualification of the Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the election for failing to comply with the Electoral Act of 2022.

The petition, dated April 7 and marked EPT/LAG/GOV/01/2023, challenges the outcome of the March 18 gubernatorial election on the grounds of substantial non-compliance with the Electoral Act and the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
