Ondo State police command, on Tuesday, said it had arrested 13 people including a lady, in connection with robbery, burglary, kidnapping and threat of kidnapping across the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Sanni Magaji, said the people were picked up at different parts of the state after committing the offence.

According to him, three suspects, Adeniyi Adeyo-soye, Olaniyi Adeyemi and Oladele Ajimisogbe, were arrested after they had successfully robbed one Pastor J. A. Oniboye of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Alafia, Ilara-Mokin.

He said when the people were arrested, the police found one locally made pistol with round of live ammunition and one UTC axe on them.

Magaji also said men of the command had arrested a group of robbers that specialised in snatching cars in Akure, before taking them to Delta and Rivers states to sell.

He gave the names of the suspects as Esho Oye-depo, Godpower Abadi, Tunde Olalusi, Isa and Solomon.

Apart from this, the police boss said four persons, Adebayo Odeniyi, Ogun-sola Michael, Alonge Olanrewaju and Adeni-kan Adenrele, were apprehended for kidnapping a lady, Miss Abimbola Michael.

They were alleged to have abducted the said victim with the aim of taking her to Abeokuta, Ogun State, before they were intercepted with their vehicle marked Lagos DE 462 MUS on Akure/Ilesha road.

But Odeniyi told newsmen that the alleged victim was his fiancé, who had been living with him for sometime in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.
