I understand that you're going through a difficult situation, but it's great to see that you're ready to take responsibility for your mistakes and work towards fixing them. Completing your project is crucial for obtaining your degree, and I applaud your commitment to doing so.

Regarding your question about whether or not to start the extra year classes for the sake of time, it ultimately depends on your individual circumstances. If you feel confident that you can manage the workload and make up for lost time, then it may be worth considering. However, if you're concerned about overburdening yourself or not being able to keep up with the pace of the classes, then it may be best to take a step back and reevaluate your options.

In either case, it's important to have a clear plan of action and stay organized throughout the process. Take advantage of resources available to you, such as your supervisor, academic advisors, and study groups, to help you stay on track and meet your goals.

Remember, setbacks and challenges are a natural part of the learning process, and they can often provide valuable opportunities for growth and development. Stay focused, stay motivated, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Good luck!
