Adedayo Drums Support For Binani, Calls For Women's Inclusiveness In Governance by Ayade001(m): 6:43pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
By David Peter The Director, All Progressives Congress - Presidential Campaign Council, NGOs, and CSOs, Mrs. Benjamin Adedayo Laniyi, have clamored for support for Nigeria's first female governorship candidate to win the guber ticket in Adamawa State, Senator Aishat Dahiru Binani. Adedayo bared her mind while expressing satisfaction with Binani's leadership and vast experience in politics, at the Unity Fountain in Abuja, weekend. Speaking to newsmen via a press conference tagged, "proclaim Nigeria," and powered by the Amalgamated APC Women Forum in Abuja, Adedayo said, the expectation of women in the forthcoming government begins April 14 this year snowball into the Adamawa supplementary election that will usher in Nigeria's first executive female governor, Her Excellency, Senator Aishat Dahiru Binani. According to her, "I am here not for me but for all of us, and women in our party space, beyond that, women in the advocacy of validating women for significant leadership representation, therefore all road leads to Adamawa." "Our prayers for the women in the political space is for Adamawa and Her Excellency Binani and as we enter into our expectation whatever we ask in prayers shall not be cut off," adding, "Oh God of creation direct our noble course." She also commended the Nigerian First Lady elect, Her Excellency, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, CON for her giant stride in the political sphere, as the long-term serving senator to attain the pinnacle of the First Lady. "Without any question, I should also state that, for the first time in the history of Nigeria's First Lady, We have an incoming First Lady who has been a three-time senator, Alpha-Gold star, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, therefore, from the position of the constituency to the Institutionalization of women in effective representation, I do not doubt that we have a government, a leadership and we have a dispensation that shall give every woman her space, her voice, her validation, and value," Adedayo attested.
