Small nations suffer from cold war. It happened during Soviet era. Western v eastern block. History is repeating itself again. Sudan leaders are so foolish to allow Russian military base close to their country.
Africa leaders should stop inviting Russia to their counties. It is invitation to civil war and coups in Africa. Africa is not Ukraine. I predict that if cold war lingers for decades, Africa would be recognized. We should be ready to add Russian and Chinese as official languages.
No world powers are saint.

u.s/russia cold war started shortly after ww2... After division of Germany through Berlin, with u.s taking west, introducing democracy and Russia taking east, introducing communism there too, the arms race/ completion, the largely successful attempts by u s to break Russia into independent smaller states, etc

You are an ignoramus, Russia helping African countries to get independence is welcome developments,

what's wrong having Russian or Chinese as official language? Don't you have English, French etc as official language?

Between 1947 and 1991, soviet union and USA of eatern and western block respectively engaged in cold war which resulted in millions of death mostly from developing nations. Cold war is not good for Africa. You don't move from one slave master to another one. Getting absolute independence from the west doesn't mean we should be trapped by China and Russia. All world powers have imperial ambitions and they want to upstage themselves.
That is the history of the world.

Congo has been in crisis for years. Wagner group are there. Sudan has invited trouble. Africans are too divided. Tribal and religion. There is no need to play geopolitical game with rest of the world. The truth is that no world power can hegemonize others without war of international scale. If you love peace as Africans stay out of geopolitics and maintain status quo while working on economic freedom.

World powers are not there to play. They are to shed blood. Any weak nation that wants to international game shouid be ready for negative consequences. Ukraine is paying for it in the name of freedom from Russia. Other nations would also pay for it in the name of freedom from West. Germany and Japan despite being rich economically are still under shadow of the west.
World powers are vampires.
