SOMALIA IS THE BIGGEST PRODUCER OF FRANKINCENSE IN THE WORLD.

Frankincense was the 1st gift given to the baby Jesus by the Magi (wise men from the East), when they visited the infant Jesus after his birth (as written in the Holy Bible).
Frankincense is the dried sap of trees in the Boswellia genus, particularly Boswellia sacra.
The trees are mostly grown (and most of the internationally-traded frankincense are produced) in the southern Arabian peninsula (precisely Oman and Yemen) and in Northeast Africa/the Horn of Africa (precisely Somalia and Ethiopia).

Information has it that Frankincense has been harvested for 6,000 years in the country's Sanaag and Bari regions.
