socialmediaman:With all due respect to you and your profession, NTA did no wrong sir. NTA are actually not bestowed with the authority to decide the outcome of any election in Nigeria, INEC was constitutionally. NTA just air the decision of the electoral body, or was the REC that declared her winner not with the electoral body? Mind you the air acceptance speech was before INEC headquarters announced the declared winner null and void. You would have been right if NTA keep airing or air the acceptance speech after INEC headquarters declared it null and void. 1 Like |

MasterJayJay: Did she give an acceptance speech after INEC annulled the declaration of her win? Was her declaration not a news event? Was her acceptance speech not a news event? Was the annulment not a news event? So what is wrong if any news agency broadcasted each of the events in the sequence by which it occurred? You just like to condemn without reasoning? 1 Like |

Alary: When Mahmood yakubu had all the time in the world to review errors detected why was he so quick to announce the result when people were sleeping. Its now you have the audacity to talk about who to fine and who not to. This whole saga would have been avoided if yakubu stopped to review the results. Had it been all political parties including nigerians came out to protest what would you have said? 3 Likes |

This guy is becoming more foolish than ever, if inec had not annulled the said elections moments later because of its illegality, how was it wrong for them to have granted her an interview when duly returned by the resident electoral commissioner? 1 Like |

MasterJayJay: You are the hypocrite here? NTA is not INEC or Supreme court to decide which electoral matter is legitimate or not legitimate. That is for the court or INEC to decide, which they did. It is the job of the news agency to bring you the news - all the news, which they did, including the eventual INEC annulment. 2 Likes |

mbateb:So because INEC is constitutionally empowered to declare winners of elections in nigeria, it means an INEC driver or adhoc staff can wake up one morning, gather army, police and Civil defense to protect him, and announce any candidate the winner of an election? The REC did not even bother to call out the figures, he just said Binani is hereby returned elected. I don't quarrel with NTA carrying the acceptance speech, where NTA errered was not carrying the other side of the story by informing its viewers that the acceptance speech is based on a fraud because the REC was not empowered to declare the results and winner and that the INEC headquarters had suspended the collation of the results. 2 Likes |

When will you folks come to accept that the NTA is the media arm of government. They are set up by government, funded by government, controlled by government They have told you so for fifty years yet you constantly expect something else. We just love to waste our time in this country. How can govrnment fine or reprimand government. If God forbid there is a coup tomorrow the same NTA will play martial music and tell us how khaki rule is the best thing since cassava was turned into garri. 1 Like |
