America will always prevent their citizens from any form of maltreatment but will never want to protect blacks, it was soo unfortunate may his soul rest in perfect peace, for he maintained the same words from 1991 till date and people still protest that he was innocent even after they ve killed him.i even read that the family of the late police officers stepped in for a last minute intervention from executing the guy but the georgia state still went ahead to execute the black guy, Davis's last words to those administering the execution were: "May God have mercy on your souls and may God bless your souls."They said he also told the family of the slain officer that he was innocent - a claim he maintained since his arrest.

Advocates for Davis had collected over 650,000 petition signatures begging the state of Georgia to let Davis live beyond Wednesday, and haf received support from people as widely reaching as the pope, a former FBI director, congressional representatives and Hollywood stars.

The support was so wide reaching because of claims that there was "too much doubt" in the case against Davis, sob sob sob it was a pathetic execution cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry

At every stage of the criminal justice system, Black people and other minorities face inequality and discrimination. We all know about people who've been treated unfairly by police or by the courts. When the entire system treats Black people unequally, it means that the death penalty is applied unequally too. Troy Davis' case underscores the way in which this systemic inequality can lead to a tragic miscarriage of justice.
