Firstly, Mahmood must be prosecuted for negligience.
After N350bn budgeted for presidential elections, INEC chairman failed in the most important duty of all which is screening and conducting background checks on all candidates to ensure they qualify to contest.
i. APC presidential candidate is a possible spy for the Guinean government, a citizen of Guinea, flies and takes personal/official trips in their presidential jet and helicopter, to what end and for what purpose?

ii APC presidential candidate was convicted for drug related crimes in U.S in 1993. Agreeing to forfeit is enough evidence that a crime was commited and conviction reached, otherwise why didn't you travel to the U.S to answer your case and clear your name? Where are you now, why are you running from petition? Why are you letting Abdullahi Adamu suffer on your behalf? Come and clear your name.

Secondly, Like Aondoakaa, Mahmood should be banned from ever holding public office in Nigeria until he explains the reason behind why he violated the constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria and hurriedly declared Bola T.A as president at midnight. Kai Mahmood you have stained your family name. The problem is not that Bola T.A had more numbers but that there was gross violation of law in the declaring the Bola T.A as winner.
i- The winner must have 25% of voted in Federal capital territory, and if he hasn't attained 25% a rerun must be carried out. Why?
Section 133 (2) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria prescribes that, a candidate will ONLY be deemed duly elected where he secures the HIGHEST NUMBER OF VOTES CAST in the entire federation, and at the same time secures at least twenty-five percent of the votes cast in two-thirds of all the States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. Both requirements are conjunctive. THEY MUST BE JOINTLY SATISFIED.
For the purpose of computation, the Federation is assumed to have 36 States and the FCT is an INDEPENDENT TERRITORY!
The resultant effect is that even when a candidate secures the highest number of votes cast amongst other candidates, he will still not be eligible to be declared winner if he fails to secure at least 25 percent of the votes in two-thirds of the States (24 States) of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

Mahmmod must bear the final brunt of this error, Just like the Adamawa REC Yunus Ari. He must be punished, sacked.

ii. The constitutional requirements for a rerun:
What then happens when none of the candidates satisfies both conditions? This is anticipated by section 134 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It provides that where any of the candidates fail to attain the highest number of the total votes cast and twenty-five percent (25%) of the votes cast in at least two-thirds of the States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, no candidate shall be deemed elected as the president.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is then compelled to conduct another election within 7 days of the announcement of the result of the election. It is pertinent to note that it is not a contest between the candidate with the highest number of votes and the runner-up in terms of simple quantum of votes.

Why did Mahmood Yakubu declare Bola T.A president-elect at midnight of Febuary 26, 2023?

No matter what happens Mahmood must be investigated even if the case ends up in International Criminal Court, the Mahmood will surely answer.

1) INEC did the right thing, it has no power to disqualify candidates.

2) Your allegations against Tinubu have no basis in law.

* He was never arrested, tried and convicted for anything.

Even if a man was truly convicted for a crime, the punishment for the crime is NOT for life unless if it is a life sentence.

The punishment expires after he serves his prison sentence.

The law recognize that people do change for better after being punished e.g many people renew their Driver's license promptly after they once suffer arrest & fine by FRSC, some people become very law abiding after they spend some days in Police custody for infractions with the law.

In our laws, the constitution stipulate another waiting period of TEN YEARS (so acertain that he has truly changed).

3) INEC work round the clock and do announce results once they are ready.

It's not about growing up bro

Can you beat your chest and say that you know who Tinubu is?

Why would a candidate that will rule a Country like Nigeria be enmeshed in identify theft, his educational background questionable, involved in Narcotics drug dealings both in US and Guinea Conakry, accused of being a citizen of Guinea Conakry.

Don't forget that most of these revelations came from individuals who now surround him and also who are members of his party. The APC
For example, Festus kayemo and FFK

Tinubu was never convicted or jailed in the US , so what the fuss ? Let Peter Obi comes out to tell us what happened at the Heathrow in London if he has integrity.

Yet he forfeited a whooping sum of $460,000 of drug proceeds to the US government.

What about the identity theft, what about the controversies surrounding his educational background

We are not talking about Peter Obi bro, this thread is all about Tinubu

What identity do u still want to know about Tinubu, someone who has been in our country's political space for more than 40yrs.

What's special abt educational background that ordinary O'Level holder can contest for president?

Campaign is over, election has come and gone.

Time to move on and be optimistic his tenure will be better than his predecessor's. I believe it will, because of his antecedent when he was a governor.

That he has been in the political space for over 30 years or according to you more than fourty years doesn't mean questions shouldn't be asked about his identity and educational background. Don't forget that these questions are being asked or were asked by individuals who are now surrounding Tinubu.
