Yorubas will always be ahead of you in most things because they have been created and ordained achievers by the Sublimest.
Only Ibadan is more developed than the entire Igboland.

Ibadan airport was built in 1982. It's backup to Lagos in cases of emergencies, that is a standard worldwide
So which one was backing it up before then? It's all political lobbying without economic consideration

Ilorin nko? What's the traffic there's? Benin is closer to Lagos than ilorin
Ilorin traffics depended largely on Lagos and Abuja. Benin and Ilorin are about the same distance to Lagos. Untill inter-state business improves, the traffics will continue to be low

You may be right, but if it's for safety, then we can understand. If there are emergency in Lagos Airport, local flights can go into Ibadan while the international will go into Ilorin. Ilorin has longer runway that can accommodate bigger aircrafts

Most cities in Nigeria don't need airport, they do t have the numbers of air travel interest to drive them

God bless you. State like Niger and Katina have "international" airports but they are often function during hajj or when a politician is visiting the state. In North west only kano Airport is economically viable, then kaduna to a lesser extent. North East I think Maiduguri, North Central — Abuja Airport, and Jos to a lesser extent. In SW only Lagos Airport is viable. In don't know of SS and SE

How come Ilorin has no reasonable traffic like Benin or Owerri? It's low disposable income bro

Sadly, there are no importers there. Event centre will be better. The tarmac is wide enough for Owambe things

This airport should ordinarily be competing with Enugu and Kano as regional centres
There are exporters, oyo state is still exporting cocoa and tobacco

Not even bauchi air strip is like this. This people have lost it finally. Even the present state of Uli air strip is better than this ranch turned airport.
I was expecting to see vultures but I saw goats. Not just goats but a herd of goats heading for the tarmac

Think before you speak. Every state should have at least one airport. Not just for passengers but cargo as well.

I should be able to fly from any state to any other state. Facilities will create demand.

Do you know how many airports FAAN has built in Nigeria since the 80s ? Many have not received more than 20 flights since they were opened in the 80s ...Nigerian states are no to far apart from each other , what we need are smartly sited airports that upto 3 states. An take advantage of ..You think before you spew nonsense
