Those saying Nigeria should build cities like this should wake up to reality. Most of these cities owe such magnificent structures they have to big construction companies and real estate investors. The Nigeria real estate investors one do not have the ability to even build one of that and secondly if the government ever attempts to build such structures there would be nothing left to maintain it.

Even if Nigeria shared every penny it made from oil, it’ll be less than 20cents per Nigerian daily!

By contrast, eg, Kuwait sells about 2x our oil output for 0.5% of our population (about 3m bbl/d for 1m Kuwaitis)…
Saudi Arabia sells about 10x our oil output for about 15% of our population (about 13m bbl/d for 30m Saudis).

What we are really potentially “rich” in is human resources…
If we ADD VALUE through education, healthcare, etc., it holds the promise of greatness (if they don’t “japa” first)!

Otherwise, Nigeria could build similar cities…
