Baba was the Dino or FFK of Sage Awolowo, when Awo died the baton was passed to Bola Ige, after Bola Ige died, it became a shared baton between the leaders of Afenifere pa Fasoranti, Abraham Adesanya, Baba and others. They decided on the politics of the SW. They tried to remove Tinubu via impeachment, Pa Adesanya pleaded they gave him another chance. Immediately Tinubu was in the clear, he began to rendered them powerless, the nail in the coffin for them was when OBJ wanted to run for second term, he convinced them that they should support his ambition, Tinubu refused, insisting the have their own candidate to run against OBJ they didn't listen. OBJ took all SW states for PDP save Lagos state. It is rumoured that Pa Adesanya died of heartbreak due to Tinubu, of course since then Afenifere lost all political influence in the SW, so it's no secret that Pa Adebanjo does like Tinubu for many reasons.

Baba Adebanjo wants to die with bitterness in his heart at this very very old age. This is too bad! Unfortunately for him, Tinubu will be sworn-in come May 29 by God's grace so that wickedness of mind continues for the next 8 years. I pity the old man. E de je ki aye simi.

Indeed. It is only the respectful nature of the Yorubas dignifying Adebanjo's right to his opinion as our elder.

If Yorubas were like some who wake their parents with slaps and kicks then Adebanjo would not even be able to walk freely in his own State or region for being such a vociferous critic of Obi, Kanu, Ekpa etal as he is of Tinubu.

Adebanjo should go and seek counsel from Soyinka who went to jail for Biafra yet the hateful ingrates are dragging the Nobel laureate mercilessly today and ready to lynch him even.
Wow, so Soyinka went to jail because of Biafra and the igbos recently abuse Soyinka.
We have to be very careful with these people, I think they are not straight forward people.

This man has been a curse in Yoruba land since the time of the Late Pa Awolowo...it has always been a tool in the hand of the Igbo people....and soon as they finish using him....they fire him like how Ojukwu fired and killed Lieutenant banjo one of his relatives.

Why was Tinubu announced winner in the dead of the night like a thief?

It is not about Tinubu who is closer to his grave but about the Nigeria for this and future generations.
I just pity the 130million poor Nigerians and those that will soon add to the numbers.

No matter how hard una try, poverty will remain least in southeast, in my community alone, there is nobody without a relation that worth's atleast 2M naira.

Other SW state governors that followed afenifere lost their 2nd term election but Tinubu who didn’t follow them is the president elect today.
I hope Ayo Adebanjo will not go to his grave with this bitterness

Even a five year old Nigerian is aware that Asiwaju never won the election.
He was warned of the mu-mu ticket. Christians from SW refused to vote him, his supporters directed thier frustration to a particular tribe.

I am a Christian from the south west and I support Tinubu, the mistake you are making is that , you think only some group of people, let say only igbos voted in the election, most of tinubu votes were from the north
