Na so Una dey talk , kero and diesel still dey cost
YesDaddyTill203:
Why?
It should be removed as soon as possible. I expect Tinubu to remove it asap. Let the market determine the price just like in any real capitalist economy.
It will be hard in the beginning but the end will justify the means. It will be much much better in the long run. No pain no gain.

What more sacrifice do you demand from the poverty capital of the world? Joblessness, starvation, malnutrition, hunger, bad roads everywhere, zero health and educational facilities, unavoidable death every day due to dead facilities and
collapse in infrastructures at all levels yet you want more sacrifice?
blacknp:
Suffer today, & enjoy tomorrow, Nigeria will never move forward, there is no industrialized nation that did not sacrifice once upon a time in their history, even the great United States, went through the Great Depression to take over the world less than 20 years after.

Due to the commencement of the Second World War, we need reorientation in Nigeria either voluntary or by force.

This was expected. The timing is so wrong. If you were genuine about the removal, you would have done so during the life of your administration rather than the end like Obj did VAT.
This is setting the new administration for chaos.

I suggest the next govt should remove it after putting some palliatives/cushion in place

That's the best approach. Buhari has listened to the voice of commonsense by not ushering in a new government with a major crisis. Let Tinubu come draw up his plans and have subsidy removed.

Let's reason like educated people there Tinubu don't just wait till when lagos collect their internal revenue he den collect d 10%,his company alpha beta is a consultant company dat collect revenue for lagos n charge 10% as their commission, just like Atiku' intel was d one dat collect for NPA,even remitant dat collect for fed govt it's also a consultant company.so don't allow ur hatred for someone God has bless to beclould ur sense of reasoning. Tinubu didn't wake up n join d cabal he work his way to the position he is today,u should be praying to God to direct ur step to greatness also not sitting down n get heartache for who doesn't no dat u exist.

Has Tinubu stopped collecting 10% of Lagos revenue Monthly till date ?

This time, He will collect 20% of every revenue that Nigeria generates [/quote]

Only poor lazy minded people will still be supporting subsidy on petroleum products.

That is why I forever despise Jonathan Goodluck, he would have saved Nigeria in 2011 & be remembered as a legend, Yet he chickened out because of protest by this same APC people.

Useless Coward.
You want to remove subsidy without first of all removing corruption!?

Ehn!?

Does it make any sense to you why the price of petroleum products that is hauled from Lagos State will be the same price as that in Abuja?

You want the Federal Government to bare the brunt for the transportation, not market forces?
That is not what subsidy is about.

Yeye talk.
Were all the ones Malami and Co recovered from looters used "for the betterment of the people"?

What would they do with the subsidy funds that they haven't been able to do since the oil boom?

If they remove that subsidy, which is the only thing Nigerians benefit from their oil, you guys will just suffer in vain.
The funds would be relooted.
Hello, you're getting it wrong or perhaps you really don't know how FG comes about the money use in paying subside. It all borrowed and stool borrowing to pay.

There is nothing wrong with him collecting 10 or 20% because he will also use it to establish companies in Lagos that will employ all tribes

My own talk is not weda they remove the subsidy o. But my talk is that, will this same politicians that caused all the damages the country is experiencing today utilise the money recovered from the subsidy removal for the right projects? What's the guarantee that this money will not end in their personal account?

So is NEC fighting the new administration? When the country just collected a loan of up to a billion dollars to remove subsidy?

You have been brainwashed to think this way. Emancipate yourself from your mental slavery.
The roads you drive on are constructed by govt, the airport, the school, the police, rhe Army and many other things are provided by govt.
They might not be best but they are available.
Remove subsidy money that's only making few people rich and make sure that the money is invested judiciously.
Making sure that the money saved is used judiciously is what you should be worried about instead of making few people rich while still having to stand in line and wait for the fuel that was supposedly subsidized. Pls wake up.
A slave to bad governance and system is assuming I’m brainwashed because I don’t believe in the Bad government he is supporting 😂,, you just listed the things a good working nation should have,, now look around you with a open mind (only if you have one), and ask yourself if Nigeria have those things you just listed, can you drive from Lagos to Maiduguri without being harassed by either numerous bad roads, police, army, and bandits, how many Airports is fully operational in Nigeria (if not a means to discreetly loot fund), you are talking about saving up money to be used judiciously,, so are you saying Subsidy payments is the reason Nigeria can’t develop or use her existing resources judiciously? The oil sector doesn’t even amount to 50% of our revenue,, only a slave will be oppressed by his master and turn a blind eye to avoid the wrath of his master. You are a slave man.
Re: NEC Recommends Postponement Of Petrol Subsidy Removal by ezekins: 6:30am On Apr 28, 2023
At the first place there shouldn't have been any Subsidy. The government of nigeria created Subsidy in order to loot the treasury. The exportation of our crude oil and importation of its refined products are what is making us believe there is Subsidy. Dangote has almost completed his refinery in lagos. We still have other refineries in nigeria, let the government of nigeria determine the quantity of petroleum products we need and whether it can be met by our local production. Then we will not be talking about Subsidy anymore if it is locally produced here and distributed.
