Sometimes it's good to look at other African countries to get a sense of how bad things are really in Nigeria.

Why should Mogadishu be looking better than so many Nigerian cities especially ones that never experienced war.

Before you come here to type nonsense or defend the indefensible, see this video by Aljazeera.

Their diaspora are mobilizing and building modern looking city in the middle of War.

Every tribe in Nigeria has to ask themselves serious questions.

Every Tribe in Nigeria has failed although some have failed more than others considering all the advantages that they have.

Also in the video, you will notice that they are building lots of Highrise buildings yet bungalows are scattered everywhere in most Nigerian cities.

Nigerians have always given the excuse that lack of electricity is the problem so you can't build high rises with lift but how come somalia that is still at war is able to overcome that challenge.

I think people are missing the point of this thread.

We have no excuse not to be developed as a country.

Other countries are passing us by including those with ongoing war.

Alshabab is still fighting to take control of Mogadishu but people still found a way to bring development.

Nigerian cities are not doing well at all. Let’s tell ourselves the truth for once.

We as a country are going backwards.

How come herdsmen now avoid the East but go on rampage in the west?

Rarely occurrence. Not like in the east where illiterate kids are locking professors at home every Monday

So banks prefer not to operate on Monday morning, the first day of the week?

How about the school children, that was also voluntary?

Listen to yourself again, read it as a neutral observer and be the judge

During the civil war Biafrans refined oil such that fuel scarcity was never experienced throughout the war. Over 50 years later Nigeria cannot refine, fuel scarcity, subsidy fraud etc. Yorubas are still building bridges over the Atlantic ocean

How about farmers who enjoy bumper harvest after herdsmen were chased out. How about lives saved. How about Ransom money saved? We will rather obey the people that saved us where Nigeria security failed than flee like cowards to Benin Republic

Choose options that fits their proper place.Disagreements among people and nations are mostly settled through a truce from a conciliator/diplomacy after much disagreement that may have deteriorate to war, which more often than not has brought peace and development.
American fought themselves for many years before achieving great development and peace, ditto, other European nations.

That was in the past. Except if you are saying Slavery should be restored because that used to be a normal way back then

Despite the school children not going to school on Mondays, the FG has still not consider it necessary to reduce their National common entrance exam cut off marks, which still remains highest in Nigeria while those kids from "safer" states, who attend school from Monday to Friday are still given lower cut off marks! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

To be honest, Everyone has failed including Igbos. Why don’t we have 10-15 stories dotting the skyline of Onitsha. We all need to start buckling up and start having bigger visions.

Yes I know igbos have done great but after seeing Somalia, I think we can do far much better.

And you don't think adding that one day Monday to those brilliant kids won't make them to be more smarter and productive to their communities ?

If that was in the past, why is it that many nations are still in disagreement that has not yet deteriorated to crises level.e.g Nigeria.Has diplomacy help to prevent the war in Sudan.

Despite Somali's rapid development, never pray to find yourself in that Country as a foreigner that would easily stand out!

More than 80% of international organizations whose projects are focused on Somali, have their offices in posh neighbourhoods of Nairobi, Kenya and using video calls to follow up projects in Somali.

Somalis are tops when it comes to entrepreneurship but gbana dey dia head well, well! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Nigeria would have gone to several war after the 1967 if not that we have learned from the past. Even though past can't be erased but the mistakes can be avoided

Somali people are not playing. Apart from some parts of Lagos and Abuja, any honest person will agree that no Nigerian city is developing like this.

No sane person sees this and remain happy with the current state of Nigeria.

Nigerians are richer than Somali people. Why are they building better looking cities than us?

Are we okay as a people?

Yes it’s a dangerous unstable country but they are still able to develop. That’s why I get angry with Nigeria.

Why should a country still at war have cities that are better looking than most Nigerian cities?

Most of what we call cites in Nigeria would be considered slums in other places. Let’s be honest
