I am surprised that some men still foot the bills of a girl/woman all through higher institution with the hope of getting married to her after her graduation.

So, with everything that has transpired on a situation like this, men still sponsor women/girl through higher institution while nursing the hope of getting married to her upon her graduation?

Men should desist from such. Don't sponsor a woman through higher institution with the hope of making her your wife after graduation.

If you must sponsor her education, let it be after these two compulsory things:

1) You have made her your wife.
2) She has given birth to at least three kids for you.

After all, if she is old enough to pursue higher institution, she is also old enough for marriage. Why wait? Why delay or postpone it? Higher education no dey run! But, she fit run! Don't take her word or the word of her parents for it. Let the needful be done: make her your wife and have her give birth to at least three kids for you. After she has given birth to at least three kids for you, she can pursue higher education at your expense, if she still desires.

It is not compulsory to accept the views that have been expressed here. After all, it is your money, your heart, your life, etc. It is entirely your prerogative what you do with any of them. But, this is hoping you make the right decision and choice.

However, if you decide to be an "ọchịrị ọzụ ọ, ma na ọzụ cha, nwoke ọzọ akpọrọ", that is your prerogative. I had to put that part in Igbo for the full effect.
