Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that the four new emirates created by his administration have come to stay.

Speaking during the Workers’ Day celebrations held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, Ganduje said God will not bring any body that will destroy them.

The governor had split the Kano emirates into five and subsequently dethroned the then Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi.

But in a viral video last week, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), said the incoming government of Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, would review the dethronement and balkanisation of the emirate.

However, while concluding his speech at the Workers’ Day celebration, Ganduje said the four new emirates are a symbol of unity, progress and well-being of the people.

“Any of you that visits the headquarters of these new emirates will believe me that we have brought development to these places. These emirates were created for unity, progress, history, and also for the recovery of the reputation of the traditional institutions. We created them to honor the people of these regions.”

“I want to assure you that these emirates are permanent, they have come to stay. And anybody that will destroy them, God Almighty will not bring him to Kano state. We assure you that these emirates were created because of you, because of your progress.

“Even if we are not in government, we are praying and we will keep praying for God to protect these emirates from all evils. I thank you all,” Ganduje said

Dr. Sanusi knows better than being a 'guinea pig' in the hands of politicians.

The new multiple emirates are better than having one emirate with just one overdressed man overseeing an unnecessarily large emirate.

Having four overdressed men is not necessarily better than one overdressed man but who's counting.

Four overdressed men would attend to more issues than one overdressed man was doing. Besides, the multi emirates are nearer to the people and therefore they don't have to spend much money and time to have to travel to present matters arising at the palaces.

Governor elect Abba Yusuf should immediately set up a judicial panel of investigation to investigate the 8 years tenor of Ganduja with particular reference to the circumstance surrounding the stuffing of dollars in his babariga.

As if Ganduje added the 4 overdressed men for ease of administration and not for political reasons.

No matter how you look at it, the incoming can undo Ganduje's handwork. Especially if that's what the people actually want. The return of a single overdressed man. The return of Sansusi.

The givt pays the emir. So it's better to pay 1 than pay 4 people.

By the way which issues are they addressing, with all the poverty in the state. I can give you a south west king addressing issues better than the north

Exactly, the number of beggars in Kano is more than all of the beggars in the south west.

Yeah not sure the northerners complained about a single overdressed man but hey, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Time shall tell. It depends on how the Emirates play their roles in the emerging Kano politics and with incoming Governor who is a son in law to kwankwaso.

It's all about Politics and we know the new Emirates were political creations of Ganduje to smite Kwankwaso and dethrone SLS.

Unfortunately, the government will have to spend more to maintain the four overdressed men. Nigeria's revenue has continue to decline over time, the balkanisation of the Emirates, though may make political sense, is uneconomical.

If the new emirates were backed by a state assembly law, then they need a new law to change them, if not, they're subject to a state executive order

Politicians should be careful with their use of power for personal aggrandizement rather than for the progress of the society

F00ls. Instead of adopting BAT’s style of creating new LCDAs to bring development to the people, they are scampering over primitive and suppressive system.

BTW, now that BAT is the top man soo. Every state can create as many LGA as they want. Federal allocations won’t longer be based on the number of LGAs, but on the population of each state.

Everyone cannot continue flooding into Lagos and expect Lagos to still be collecting same as their states.

Have you wondered why there are no Emirs in Borno, Adamawa and most North East state??...well that is because Usman Dan Fodio Jihadist movement couldn't conquer there because the arrival of the colonial masters...and that is the main reason why Boko Haram and other bandits crisis are focused there, because they're still in the quest to complete what there leader started and to make sure they dip the quran into the sea like Ahmadu Bello Vowed.....#know your History.

The oyinbo wey do pencil also did eraser..

Kano emirate reshuffling by Ganduje will not be the first....Late Abiola Ajimobi attempted same, before Seyi Makinde reversed it.

So, Ganduje should just enjoy his executive power till May 29th..afterwards, NNPP lead Government can do whatever they think is good
