I’m going to drop the F word in this post

If you’re easily offended, don’t read 🫣🫢

The F word is… FAT.

Not all fat is bad for you, so stop being afraid of the word.

🥑 Fat-soluble vitamins are vitamins that dissolve in fat, as opposed to water. This means that they are stored in fatty tissues & the liver.

👉 They NEED FAT to be properly absorbed and used by the body. So if you're on a low-fat diet or have trouble digesting fat, you might not be getting enough of these essential vitamins.

How do I get more Dr. J ⁉️

Alright, let’s do this guys… *puts on glasses* 🤓

First, make sure you're including healthy sources of fat in your diet, like nuts, avocados, or fatty fish 🥜🥑🐠

There are 4 fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E, & K. They're like a little squad of superheroes, each with their own special powers 🦹

🥕Vitamin A: These bad boys give you healthy skin, help you with your eyesight & a strong immune system. You can find it in foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, and spinach. Just don't overdo it, or you might turn orange (yes, really).

🐡 Vitamin D: Is the Robin to calcium’s Batman. Your body can actually make this one on its own, but you can also get it from foods like fatty fish and fortified dairy products. Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium, which is important for building strong bones and teeth 🦷

🌰 Vitamin E: This vitamin is protecting your cells from damage caused by free radicals (not the cool kind of radicals, unfortunately). You can find it in nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils. Make sure this in your lotion, Clarice.

🥬 Vitamin K: The blood clotting vitamin, without vitamin K, you'd be bleeding all over the place. It's the first thing given to newborns. It also helps your body absorb calcium, and can be found in leafy greens like kale and spinach.

Now, before you go smashing down on all the fatty foods you can find, remember that excess amounts of fat soluble vitamins can build up in your body, causing toxicity and other nasty side effects.

So, as with everything in life, moderation is key.

Moderation does not work! It's a myth and a deadly trap for those that are trying to get rid of fat in undesirable places in the body.

There is no middle ground. No half way point. Its either to embrace longevity and get lean or you maintain your fat and drop dead anytime, or manage metabolic illnesses till you die!

Get lean

Educative post. Very educative.

By the way, vitamin D is the Batman, while calcium is the Robin, because without vitamin D (especially D3), your body cannot absorb calcium.
Infact, it is the most important of all vitamins.
