A logistics company located in Oshodi, Lagos is looking for a security operative to join our team.

Job description
• Maintain law and order in assigned area to protect/guard
• Protect every person that is present in assigned area of duty
• Look out for suspicious objects or suspicious people and keep a close watch on them or report them.
• Monitoring Surveillance equipment
• Protecting company property and personnel
• Proper record keeping of movement of staff and company property
• Patrol assigned area of duty and monitor surveillance equipment.
• Make use of communicators and report the goings-on of the event in the area
• Security officers rarely work alone, there are teams of them and you all have to coordinate with each other to make the area secure.
• Have training in combat and the use of weapons.
• Proper check of products and customer packages leaving the premises
• Monitoring of Loading and offloading of products and customer packages
• Informing violators of policy and procedure
• Obtain help by sounding alarm when necessary
• Prevent losses and damage to company property by reporting irregularities.
• Permitting entry into and out of the company premises.
• Restraining trespassers/unauthorized persons in and around your area of duty

Requirements
• Interested candidates should possess at least an SSCE certificate; additional training or certification in security-related fields is desirable.
• Previous experience in security will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance techniques, and access control methods.
• Understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and handle emergency situations.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Integrity, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility in handling confidential and sensitive information.
