I have followed these people and I realized they're more corrupt than politicians. They also beg and clean the dirty anus of politicians to get money. They don't even care, they change like chameleons. Nigeria can't progress with leaders who are selfish, greedy and corrupt like most of our traditional rulers. You're can see white and turn it black and expect our country to grow. Nigeria is in a mess because of these traditional liars and thieves. When the just rule, the people rejoice but when evil people rule, there will be suffering and chaos.

They are corrupt because they can be selected and deselected by Nigerian politicians

I have wrote many times about this but many people seems not to notice. It is good to respect elders and good traditions. But bad, evil, corrupt traditions and their leaders should be disrespected, discouraged and discarded. Because of our culture, we think even when a king or chief is doing something wrong no one should talk or even act to oppose them them. We think anything an elder does is right, this is a very backward and stereotypic mentality.

An igbo proverb says "When a man's chi misbehave, it is shown the wood it was carved from". It high time we began confronting our chief's, traditional rulers for their dishonourable acts.
