Edin Dzeko got the first goal in Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over city rivals AC Milan in the semi-final first leg

Bosnian striker, Edin Dzeko was one of the stars of display last night, as he got the show started with a delicate finish in the 7th minute to put Inter Milan in front.

The 37-year-old showed his class and experience, with Simeon Inzaghi giving him the nod ahead of Belgian, Romelu Lukaku.

Dzeko repaid his manager's faith in him, when he managed to tuck in an improvised finish when he was under pressure by AC Milan captain David Calabria.

It’s eleven years now since the former Manchester City forward scored a crucial goal in what was a defining moment for the Cityzen enroute their first Premier League title in 2011.

However, the old war horse has proven that he is still in decent shape, having notched up 14 goals this season, with nine of them in Serie A for Inter Milan.

Last night, he became the second oldest player to score in the Champions League semi-final history, behind Ryan Giggs.
