The important thing my client considered is the size and layout of the rooms, the exterior of the building will be tweaked to match modern standards. Welcome bro.

I may not have all the information but this is Anambra where land is premium. That portion where the building was demolished is probably his own inheritance. His other brothers will own other parts of the compound and he can not touch a single portion no matter how good their relationship is

I want to leave a lot of space in the front of this compound, this is for future development.

Updates as we lay foundation blocks on the completed trenches............

This foundation wall is too high. You should have introduced plinth beams after the 4th course and lay additional 2 or 3 courses on top of the beams to avoid cracking of the block walls during mechanical compaction.

Thanks for the observation, but since about 4 of the blocks you see now will still be underground by time the foundation is concluded, there is no need for a plinth beam reinforcement after 4 courses. This will be the highest point in the foundation, other sides will have less blocks. A plinth beam will still sit on this level before the DPC. Thanks.

I will advise you to fill the last 3 coaches with weak concrete in other to serve as a retaining wall so that it can withstand earth pressure during compaction.

We are just completing a 3 bedroom bungalow where we intend to move the contents of this house into. We have to move out all the properties before demolishing the old house.
