The Chairman of National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa kwarra and his team comprised of the Federal Commissioner, Kwara State, Abdulrazaq Folorunsho Gidado, Federal Commissioner, Oyo State, Dr. Eyitayo Oyetunji, Director-General, Dr. Osifo Tellson Ojogun and some Directors of the Commission paid an advocacy visit to the Kwara State Government at the Government House in Ilorin today, 4th May 2023.



The visit according to NPC Boss was to create awareness and solicit the support and cooperation of the government and the good people of Kwara State for the forthcoming digital Population and Housing Census in Nigeria.

The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Kayode Alabi, who received the NPC team on behalf of the Governor of the State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commended the Commission for conducting a digital Census that will give the nation evidence-based data for development planning, while assuring the NPC Chairman of the full cooperation and support of Kwara State to ensure a successful Census exercise in the State.



The Deputy Governor of Kwara State was decorated as a Patron of the 2023 Census.
