27-year-old Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci is looking to join the elongating list of individuals in the Guinness World Record history book.

The multi-talented chef has continued to inspire Nigerian youths since she commenced her historic culinary journey on Thursday, May 11. She will be looking to make history on Monday, May 15.

Specifically, Hilda is seeking to break the Guinness World Record for cooking held by an Indian chef Lata Tandon, who for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop in 2019.

The Guinness Book of Records is a reference book that contains human and natural world records.

It was first published in 1955 by the Guinness Brewery in Ireland and has since become one of the world’s most well-known and frequently read reference books.

Individuals or groups must submit proof to the Guinness World Records team and go through a verification process to qualify for a world record listing.

Here is a list of Nigerians that have broken the Guinness World Records in recent times:

Gbenga Ezekiel

He holds the record for the most skips in a minute on one leg. The record was set in February 2023.

Ezekiel recorded 265 skips in his attempt, beating the previous record of 262 skips, which was held by Bangladesh’s Rasel Islam, making history as the first athlete at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure.
