Tuberculosis ( TB) is an infectious disease responsible for major causes of death among women globally. It is estimated that over one billion girls and women are infected with TB. The disease poses significant threat to women's health security, family, social networks, economic development, population growth and movement. The greatest burden of the disease occurs between 15- 49 years. There is minimal information about gender related research therefore knowledge about prevention and control on this aspect is lacking. Records show that Diagnosis of TB among women is slower than men and TB care is often accessed by men than women. This fact leaves a negative consequence on women than men since stigma is associated with TB.
