if the petrol price is below 450naira. go for Thanksgiving..mind you that refinery alone can't serve Nigeria... secondly affective pricing is difficult in a monopolized market...just one refinery by one man ain't enough

Dangote Sources his cement from Nigeria, but his cement sold in Nigeria is costlier than his same cement sold in Namibia and other Southern African countries.

Dangote refinery will make you cry Blood. I hope you supported APC, so when you want to rally don't call other tribes ooo! Let Tinubu do the needful

Why the unnecessarily hype about this Refinery.

Dangote is a business man and he knows what he's doing.
Petrol will never sell less than N200 when the deport not Refinery is commissioned.

'Subsidised rate'

Subsidy again.

We get out of one subsidy and immediately replace it with another corrupt subsidy

It not going to happen.

To the Op, Dangote will sell at a rate that is commercially profitable to him, so I believe his price will mirror to some extent what is happening in the international market.

Based on today's international market price of petrol, and without subsidy, Dangote's price is unlikely to be less than N350. May be even N500. If Nigeria refuses to buy, Ghana, and several African countries will rush it wink

Dey there.

Dangote has no obligation to do Nigeria a favour.

Besides, he has billions of dollars in loan to pay back. His lenders will not allow him to sell at underprice.

People should not put the solutions to Nigeria 's self-inflicted problems on one man's neck.

Same way Dangote cement and flour is briy sold at a cheapy rate abi? Infact we should expect all petrochemical products to be sold at relatively higher price compared to what we have now secondly it will take at least another one year before the refinery functions optimally cos the operations is in phases ass reported. The only advantage is that the products will be readily available secondly it will serve the government the stress of dollar for forex as well as stimulate other auxillary economic units.

the country cant sell crude to a private person at subsidy....its not advisable...moreover he is not the only refiner in the country..we have the orient refinery in Anambra, we have Edo refinery in Edo state..we also wil have four new refinery owners..cuz the FG will sell off the FG's four almost maribond refinery to private bidders in a bid to discourage monopoly and usher in competition in the sectore...

back to ur question on fuel selling below 100naira..no it will not..this cuz of derived demand....the cost of the goods demanded to add and refine are also expensive...again..at the beginning without much competition ,a monopoly will set his price to help him quickly shed alot of his liabilities nd quickly come to break even...

we are in for a long ride...our only gain is dat dollar will drop quite significantly that is if Dangote manages to strike mny export deals to expecially west African nations...

wait for it..the FG will soon privatize the four govt. own refineries..

Don't expose anything to indolent morons. To them they are conducive for Dangotes business because Dangote Hates IGBOs and loves SW.

The tears that will emanate from the SW will be so devastating that they will choke on their FOOLISHNESS.

This is why petroleum products is subsidized in Nigeria.
The foreigners will come to Nigeria and buy our crude oil at an OPEC price of maybe a $100per barrel or they will buy stolen crude oil at a very reduce price from the Nigerian elites who tap oil from burst pipelines.
They will take the oil to their country to refine products like aviation fuel, vehicular fuel, diesel, engine oil, etc.NNPC approved petroleum marketers will go there and buy it and transport it back into Nigeria to sell.
This is where they swindle Nigerians. The oil marketers will add their own pockets money.
There are different charges that are imposed in the oil vessels by the government.Like the number of days the oil vessels stays in the sea and landed in Nigeria before the petroleum products are discharged into the reservoir. All these are incurring additional charges daily which is call "Demurrage.
Another charges are the ones the oil marketers pay to the Nigerian government which is VAT and many others. That is why the government say they are subsidizing fuel which in most cases are lies.

If you know me you will know I love Nigeria passionately.

What I stated earlier is the obvious fact.
Dangote is a business man and he's targeting west African market. He want to be sole and major distributor of refined crude oil in West Africa before conquering the rest of Africa.
No doubt there won't be fuel scarcity again but it won't come cheap.

HE WANT TO EARN THE TITLE 'THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD'.

Bros don't you think if at all the SW are to cry let alone choke, don't you think the tears that'd come from the SE won't send lotta you guys to the great beyond?? Know this and know peace. If Nigeria is gonna go through fire or hard time, the SW will be least hit. Lets do some short quick math;

Under Buhari, the Regions that suffered more from Insecurity are the NE, SE, NW, NC and few sizable attacks in the SW

Under Buhari during the fuel scarcity, when a litre of fuel was selling at #300/350 in the SW. in the SE, fuel sold at #450/500 per litre

Under Buhari, Most projects and constructions done/launched was in the North and in the SW. Lagos-Ibadan road completed, Ibadan-Ilorin-Niger road fixed, Lagos - Benin road fixed, Osun-Akure road took a new shape also Oyo- shagamu Ogun state got fixed. Now the Big question is, how many roads in the South east got fixed??

Under Buhari bad government, deep seaport was commissioned, Rice mill was commissioned, blue rail line commissioned, lubricant factory, Nord tank, Dangote refinery and more were commissioned in the SW. how many projects were commissioned in the SE? list them !!!

Under Buhari, DYK there was mass migration from all parts of Nigeria to the SW and majority were Igbos??

Do you also know most commodities you buy cheap in the SW you'll see it to buy twice the price in the SE?? infact as at last year in Enugu, common pure water was selling at #20/ one (very terrible)

Under Buhari bad government, during Naira design, do you know SE was the worse hit??

Do you know currently, it is much more easier to get a Job in the SW than to see a factory let alone a job in the SE?

Truth is, no matter what hit the SW and made her to cry, in the SE, it'll will rather send most of y'all to the greater beyond cuz you guys would always continue to be the worse hit in the South. it's fine if you want to prove the hard guy ish but facts don't lie, deal with it

Nigerians can be quite funny. So, up till now you don't know who Dangote is? He has built several cement plants in Nigeria, is cement not more costly in Nigeria than countries that import it?

This thinking of always expecting miracle without critical reasoning is why millions are currently suffering to death in Nigeria. You also elected a re.tarded president twice in 2015 & 2019 yet expected him to perform like Lee Kuan Yew.

You're about to allow another rogue and drug baron to become president while expecting him to give what he does not have.

No be ment be that? Make una dey play!!!

And I just saw your post now, exactly my sentiments!

These guys are extremely dull, they can't even reason like Normal human beings.

No wonder they voted for a re.tard twice in 2015 and 2019, who reduced them to destitutes. One would have expected they would grow some brain, but no. The sufferheads are still supporting another extremely corrupt drug baron while hoping for good governance.

They are cursed and will remain miserable forever.

They're now hoping that a Shylock capitalist like Dangote who borrowed billions of dollars to build refinery will suddenly make it dirt cheap. They couldn't even take lessons from their experiences with his cement.

Condemned sufferheads!
