The World Celebrates Tinubu's Visionary Leadership As Dangote Commissions Historic Refinery

By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah

* How Visionary Leadership Can Lead To Great Achievements For Nigeria

Lagos, Nigeria - Today, the world is witnessing a remarkable celebration of visionary leadership as Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, commissions the historic Dangote Refinery in Lagos.

This monumental achievement has garnered praise from around the globe, underscoring the transformative impact of bold leadership on Nigeria's petroleum industry and the country's position in Africa.

The Dangote Refinery stands as a testament to visionary leadership and technological excellence. With its daily refining capacity of 650,000 barrels, it becomes Africa's largest oil refinery, and its distinction as the world's biggest simple-train facility is a feat to behold.

Moreover, the 900 KTPA Polypropylene Plant accompanying the refinery ensures a comprehensive approach to meeting Nigeria's domestic demand for refined products while generating surplus for export.

Nestled on an expansive 2,635-hectare land area, the Dangote Refinery boasts a self-sufficient marine facility, adhering to stringent environmental standards. It possesses the versatility to process different types of crude, ensuring adaptability and efficiency in its operations. The refinery's power needs are fulfilled by a 435 MW Power Plant, further reinforcing its self-sufficiency and sustainability.

Former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, deserves recognition for his visionary leadership in setting the stage for this remarkable achievement. It was under his stewardship that the Lekki Free Trade Zone project was initiated, which now stands as a testament to Nigeria's economic potential, valued at over $25 billion today. Tinubu's foresight and strategic planning laid the foundation for the Dangote Refinery, elevating Nigeria's standing in the global petroleum industry.

As the man of the moment, Aliko Dangote himself expressed his gratitude to Tinubu in a viral tweet this morning, acknowledging the former governor's instrumental role in the project's realization. Dangote's appreciation highlights the significance of visionary leadership in paving the way for groundbreaking initiatives and immense national achievements.

The commissioning of the Dangote Refinery holds promising prospects for Nigeria's economic growth and job creation. It signifies a turning point in the country's petroleum industry, as Nigeria now gains greater control over its leadership status in Africa.

With enhanced capacity to meet domestic demand and surplus for export, Nigeria can harness its vast energy resources to drive economic progress, reduce reliance on imports, and promote self-sufficiency.

Nigerians have every reason to be grateful for Tinubu's leadership that has materialized at a crucial time when the country seeks to assert itself as a powerhouse in Africa. Tinubu's visionary leadership and Dangote's indomitable spirit demonstrate that with strategic planning, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Nigeria can unlock its true potential and set new benchmarks for success.

As the Dangote Refinery begins its operations, it is a moment of celebration not only for Nigeria but for the world at large. It exemplifies how visionary leadership can pave the way for remarkable achievements and shape the destiny of a nation, offering hope, progress, and inspiration for generations to come.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best thing that happened to humanity since the creation of Earth.

An unrivaled demigod with a strong vision and foresight.

An aristocrat whose in-formidable foundation is built on the bedrock of human development.

Practically, if a spade must be called a spade, THEIR IS NONE LIKE HIM.

Every Escobar's minion would always attribute the growth of Lagos to his efforts. Meanwhile, Lagos was even thriving before he was born.

You just had to include Ashibaju's name in the mix.

The whole idea of Dangote Refinery started in 2013 during Goodluck Jonathan's era but, today, every BATist just want to rewrite history like they always do.

I appreciate Dangote but lets not pretend and forget about our history of corruption. All the gains from this refinery no reach one or two politicians to loot.

With just one large and functional refinery, I don't see how this will solve most of our problems. The U.S. has over 120 functional and operational refineries and oil isn't even the country's main source of revenue. But yeah, we only compare Nigeria with the U.S.A when we want to reference mass shootings.

The Lekki free trade zone is an initiative of Asiwaju why do you think the refinery was located in Lagos despite not been an oil producing state? Not even close to any

The Lekki Free Trade Zone received more investment (including Dangote Refinery) from Governor Akinwunmi Ambode than from any other governor Lagos has ever produced. Why doesn't anyone mention him or even the name of the current governor who is now in office and whose watch this refinery was commissioned?

This attitude can best be described as idolatry or bewitchment. Dangote owns the money, he owns the idea, he owns the investment. Where he chooses to locate his investment should be attributed to the current and sitting governor of the state, Sanwo-Olu.

Can you imagine....

Dangote is benefiting from the legacy a visionary leader has do drawn down....we ain't tired...and Peter Obi get mind...he still come to see part of the history blueprint of his rival....bola Tinubi....if Peter obi has don't the same in Anambra state ...this refinery could have been built in Anambra state.....

But tell me any meaningful industry in Anambra state except for Brewery....and the sky scrapper that some blood money expert and drug baron in Anambra state has built for fund....

Lagos that was already bright and glittering before he even came back from Chicago where he was dealing drugs.

Meanwhile, how does Dangote business translate to Tinubus vision. Did he remembered the idea for Dangote? Or did he lend Dangote money for the project. They have just forgotten the person that even signed the deal in the person of Ambode. Everything is Tinubu who was even only interested in what he will get during his time.

At first he wanted to buy NLNG but later settled for building his private refinery

Attaching every accomplishment in Lagos to Tinubu’s leadership. That shows that Tinubu is empty and bankrupt of what leadership entails that's why he seems to be buying applause and praise of every accomplishments done in Lagos even when the story is distance away from his minutest contribution.

It was Tinubu that brought Ambode. So Tinubu takes the glory for whatever Ambode did. Do you know what it means to lay a solid foundation for industrial revolution? That was what Tinubu did. His (Tinubu's) works may be too complex for you to understand now.
