Sin comes with devastating consequences (Psalm 73:27)... like digging one's own grave (Isaiah 30:1).

For one's own sake... stay close to GOD by staying in the infallible word of GOD and in prayer (Matthew 26:41)!

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

"How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word." - Psalm 119:9

"For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry." - Psalm 73:27

Note that the Lord YESHUA, the CHRIST, the WORD HIMSELF responded to the tempter with the word of GOD three times... "It is written" (Luke 4:1-13)

1. First of all, The word sin simply means disobedience of God's direct commandments and teachings and it is those who are under Law that are able to transgress the Law via disobedience. Second, Scripture was never meant to be used as a talisman to ward off sin or to keep one from sinning. It was never meant as a book of incantations either where you can cast spells against that you refuse to work on. Rather, Scripture was written as a guide for those who are willing to do the work necessary to bring them closer to God. Third, Scripture cannot make a man good or evil. It can serve as inspiration for either, but in and of itself, it cannot make a man that which the man has not first intended in his own heart. So, rather than see Scripture as a sort of power over your person, see it for what it is, a book written by humans in human language intended for human consumption through the application of human language comprehension skills which are available to pretty much everyone who is language literate. undecided
