The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has cautioned filling stations and marketers in the state against hoarding of petroleum product following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inaugural speech yesterday.

The Governor urges the marketers to await further directives on the implementation of the planned subsidy removal by the Federal Government and avoid actions that are capable of inflicting hardship on the citizens.

According to the Governor, heavy sanctions await any filing station or marketer found hoarding petroleum product or involved in arbitrary increase in prices of petroleum product in the state.

Meanwhile, Governor Oyebanji has invited the leadership of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) to a meeting in his office by 4pm today.

The Governor urges the citizens of the state to go about their daily activities peacefully and avoid any rancorous situation.

A lot of Nigerians are wicked. You heard subsidy is gone and you want to sell old products at double or more price that should be sold because you heard subsidy is gone.

Oga Governor should calm downgrin

If they don't increase retail price of their present stock after Emilokan suddenly made an announcement that subsidy has been removed, how are they supposed to get funds to restock at the post-subsidy depot price which hasn't even been announced yet? tongue

Abi Governor will submit his state allocation to the marketers for them to use to augment the difference in landing cost of PMS post-subsidy?

Shut up! It's not the first time.
Even if it's a rumor like in the past, Nigerians have always behaved this way by hoarding fuel.

Its not the first time, so shut up and face the truth

Re: EKSG Cautions Filling Stations, Petroleum Marketers Against Hoarding Of Fuel by TOPMAN4LIFE: 12:42pm On May 30, 2023
Yes this is the way to go, let every state government deal with any filling station that want to hoard fuel.
By that, any State or region that refuses to do it, his people will suffer for it,
Wicked and saboteurs plenty for Nigeria, they only know how to blame government

See the logic of a supposed educated Nigerian.

You buy and sell accordingly, that is the ethnic of a good business person. What these people are doing is pure wickedness and inhumane to the masses. Did they buy their current stock at price they are selling? We keep blaming government for corruption, yet we are the most corrupt elements in our various circles.
