Let's pay tribute today to Pastor Umo Bassey Eno - the man whose time has come. A man who has taken the oath of office as the newly sworn-in governor of Akwa Ibom State great.

His swearing-in ceremony was a momentous occasion, not just for him, but for all of us who believe in the power of leadership, dedication, and the unwavering spirit of service.

Witnessing that historic moment, we cannot help but reflect upon the journey that has brought us this far. It was a journey filled with dreams, challenges, and a profound sense of purpose. And it is through the vision, determination, and sheer will of this extraordinary individual that we find ourselves on the cusp of a new era - the #GoldenEra.

His dedication to public service as a Commissioner was unmatched. Throughout his career, he tirelessly fought for the rights and well-being of the people he serves. His empathy, compassion, and deep understanding of the struggles faced by fellow citizens have driven him to champion causes that truly matter. He has been a voice for the voiceless, a beacon of hope for the marginalized, and a steadfast advocate for equality and justice.

But it is not just his accomplishments that define him. It is his competence, character, capacity, his integrity, and commitment to the principles that make our society strong and resilient. He has stood tall in the face of adversity, weathering storms that would have broken the spirits of lesser individuals. He has faced criticism and opposition with grace and humility, always putting the needs of the people above his own.

Today, as he takes the helm of our state, we can be confident that our future is in capable hands. We can look forward to a time when our state will prosper, when our communities will thrive, and when the dreams of our citizens will be within reach. Under his leadership, we hope to witness a government that listens, cares, and works tirelessly to fulfill the promises made to its people.

Let's come together, not just to celebrate Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, but to pledge our support and commitment to the journey ahead. Let us stand beside him as he faces the challenges that lie before us, knowing that together, we can overcome any obstacle. Let us be the driving force behind positive change, reminding ourselves that our collective strength is far greater than the sum of our individual parts.

To Pastor Umo Eno - the man whose time has come, we salute you. Your journey to this moment has been marked by resilience, determination, and an unwavering faith in the power of the people. As you embark on this new chapter of your life, know that you have the support and trust of a grateful state. May your tenure as governor be marked by progress, prosperity, and the fulfillment of the dreams and aspirations of all those you serve.

Congratulations, Governor. The future awaits, and we stand ready to walk this path with you.

I should join you to celebrate him? As what? The new pope? It is well with your soul. Meanwhile the other day I was discussing with a friend how I fear the capacity of this man as the new governor of your state. Akpabio tried so much with his transformation agenda, opening up the state. Udom too did greatly as a technocrat, building on Akpabio's legacies. Any weak move by this man will send your state spiraling into the shadows like Cross Rivers State, which became a shadow of itself under Ayade. Your new governor needs to focus on industrialization, attracting FDI to your state, marketing its potentials as a peaceful state in the south south with good road infrastructure, Easy access to markets, cheap labour among others.
You don't need happy hour and surely not this long speech you've written in his praise.

A pastor who is more interested in the “happy hour” than the gospel.
