Hhansome: Who do us this in this country because some cabals are scamming the govt through subsidy, I don't know why people like you are so shallow in your thinking, is it masses that must suffer their wickedness. Let all of them be sent to jail, and let know the actual cost of petrol subsidy before we will conclude whether its sustainable or not. goodness4ever:Because budgeting does not mean you will get the revenue. It is a projection based on assumptions like oil price and oil.production. But a lot of oil is being stolen Budgeting is not a process of saying let there be money and there is money Obviously the expected revenue did not materialise. Government has no hope of repaying that money |

Nwaide01:That you own a business means nothing The business is a legal person It has expenses ,debts and obligations It has to spend money to bring oil out of the ground In Nigeria that is $17 a barrel X maybe 1.5 million a day If government does not pay it has to borrow at interest to fund its operations So if you own a cow that is supposed to give you milk you will cut off the legs to eat and still expect it to produce milk? If you own a poultry will you take eggs and not pay to feed the chickens? The company needs money to find more oil ,to pay salaries pensions etc At this rate NNPC will soon die.
