Is Art Fully Appreciated In Nigeria? by Christabelnwa: 3:16pm On May 31, 2023
Nigeria is full of artistic people; in fact, Nigeria itself is Art. Art has always played an important role in our culture, history and development as a nation. However, while some people appreciate art and its significance, others do not. Lately, some art galleries in Lagos have been gaining traction. There has been a growing appreciation and recognition of art in Nigeria, with more art exhibitions, festivals, and galleries being established.

This has increased awareness and appreciation of Nigerian art locally and internationally. However, there is still a need for more efforts to be made to educate and promote the value of art in Nigeria. There should be more investment in art education and the preservation of Nigeria's rich cultural heritage through the promotion of art. Recognising and appreciating art as a vital aspect of Nigeria's identity and heritage is essential. Through this recognition, the country can continue to grow and thrive culturally and economically.
