President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday received the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting comes barely 24 hours after Tinubu ordered the Department of State Services to vacate the Ikoyi office of the anti-graft commission.

Bawa who arrived at the Villa few minutes past 2pm was ushered into the President’s office complex.

Although the purpose of the meeting is not yet public, it may be connected to the reported frascas between the EFCC and the DSS.

President Tinubu had on Tuesday, directed the Department of State Security Service to immediately vacate the Ikoyi office of the EFCC in Lagos.

He also met with the Vice Chair of China's National People's Congress, China equivalent of the Senate.

The delegation was sent by the Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Efcc will become tinubu's rubber-stamp.
