Ace Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adeleke professionally known by his stage name, Davido, has said he will not take for granted, the national honour conferred on him by the Federal Government.


He stated this while finally reacting to the national honours award which was announced on Sunday by the Minsitry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental affairs.

Taking to his Twitter page on Wednesday, May 31, Davido expressed joy and noted that he felt honoured to be recognised.

According to him, the award is a reminder of his mission which has always been to showcase the country’s passion resilience and struggles of the people.

He was 339 prominent Nigerians listed as recipients of the 2023 national honours by ex-president Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
