Note this. The solution is not in sight. The only way to stop smuggling of fuel in Nigeria is to increase the price beyond what it goes for in neighbouring African countries. Presently it is still profitable to smuggle fuel to Ghana where a litre sells beyond $1 per litre.
Have u ever bothered to ask why Africans are not migrating to Nigeria in droves except herders rather it is Nigerians leaving? It is because it is worst or almost economically the same with their country of origin. As far as our border remains porous fuel smuggling will always be profitable to those involve in it until the price in Nigeria gets close to the cheapest it is sold internationally.
The situation is complex than it is said presently. Removal of subsidy won't solve any problem.
The only excuse government can give now is that they need money to close out the gaps created by misappropriation of funds and need to increase pump price and not necessarily removing subsidy.
Dangote can't sell fuel in Nigeria for ₦500 where he has an opportunity of selling it in Ghana for #1500 per litre.
He can't also close his eyes to someone buying from him here at 500 then to resell in Ghana for #1500 per litre.
This was written in June and just in July another increment occurred in fuel price.

I really hope Asiwaju won't backtrack

I trust him sha

During the Campaign he said even if Anybody protest, he won't subsidize Fuel

NLC should be negotiating and working with the Government on ways Nigerians won't really feel the shock

They should be asking what the money will be spent on and how it will be spent

Nigeria do not need a general strike at this period.

There was fuel and Naira Scarcity which led to the death and extreme hardship of fellow Nigerians, just because Obi supported the hardship on Nigerians, Labour didn't say "pim" till some APC Governors went to Court.
