Erekere's Real name is Micheal Olalekan Adeyemi. He is reportedly from Ila Orangun town in Osun State, South West Nigeria. He had his Education in Ila Orangun before moving to the Federal Polytechnic Ede, in Osun State.

Erekere started his comedy skit few years ago, and this started from taking part in school play and the likes and he has been pursuing this dream since then till he had his viral video in June 2021, where he said Yoruba adage can be so confusing because of contrasting views.
