They said thiefnubuu, with his body odour will make NIGERIA great, but they are all buying fuel at #500/liter grin

Truly, to be an Agbadorian, the brain must be the size of a CORN seed

When I read comments on this forum, I begin to seriously doubt the sanity of some people.

We have oil...what's it effect on the masses. I only know about the figures. Even if you combine the whole oil in Africa to us. It won't make anything
nairalanda1:

Because we use oil money to fund and finance things that by rights should be funded by taxation really.

Oil money is never enough because the oil price is never high enough for a large nation like Nigeria. We are not as small as Saudi, or UAE...or even Libya. We are too big for the oil revenue we do get.

That's why we must diversify, and more and more Nigerians must pay income taxes.

Actually it is a myth that oil money is enough for Nigeria

When our leaders since the 1990s, if not earlier have been talking about diversification, and when resource control is a thing, that tells one that oil is not enough

Plus oil prices are fluctuant. Not good for our revenue stream

Traders are flocking to the Urals crude blend because they see the Nigerian grades as relatively pricey, with traders reluctant to offload the country’s cargoes.

Nigeria is more of a gas-producing country than a crude oil producer, so the short to long-term focus should be on ramping up global gas sales and value-addition in the petrochemical ecosystem.
