Alot has happened since 1999 and over the years Nigeria have had steady and smooth transition of power.Different administration has come and gone.

Democracy is better than military rule as it gives us the people the powers to change who rules, which is not the case with military rule, and which makes democratic rulers accountable to the electorate.

As for the "hope of Nigeria under democracy", that depends on what the voters want.

Democracy is far better than military rule. The problem we have in Nigeria is that our Constitution and Democratic process is copied. We have to form our own indigenous system of government. Na copy copy do us like this.

Nigeria and Singapore got independence almost same time. While Nigeria had lots of resources, they only had palm fruits.

While Nigeria was experimenting with different types of government, one man held Singapore down for decades until recent times.

Yes but i dont see anything like democracy in nigeria today because i dont see reason why a president will order for CBN governor arrest without following due process

I dont see any democracy in a Speaker of a state trying to make law that bare other tribes from buying land or own a property in lagos because LP defeated them in lagos during presidential election. So we should stop deceiving ourselves that we are practicing democracy in nigeria.
